Rochester Hockey Club is proud to introduce Ryan Running as the new Hockey Operations Manager for the organization.
In his role, Running will oversee and manage the selection and training of coaches within the hockey club, parent education, player development, team formation and managing practice and games.
“Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the Rochester Hockey Club,” said Lyle Phair, Executive Director for Suburban Sports Group. “His coaching experience and passion for growing the game will make him an excellent asset to the Rochester hockey community.”
Ryan grew up in Lapeer, Mich., and most recently served as an assistant coach and goalie coach for the Lapeer High School Varsity hockey team. A graduate of Ferris State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Communication, Ryan served as a student assistant with the university’s Men’s NCAA DI hockey team. He also worked as an assistant coach with the ACHA DIII program at Ferris State after playing on the team for five years.
Ryan was also a head instructor and goaltending instructor for the Sports International Hockey Academy in Rochester, N.Y., for three years.
“I’m excited for this new opportunity with the Rochester Hockey Club, especially in helping to grow the game in the Rochester area,” Running said. “I’m looking forward to creating an environment where players can learn and improve every day.”
